Colorado Solar Thermal Roadmap to be Released Tomorrow!

The Solar Thermal Alliance of Colorado is offering an open invitation to the formal release of the Colorado Solar Thermal Roadmap, tomorrow, Tuesday January 24th!

When: Tuesday, January 24, 2012

11:30 doors open – 11:45 Inauguration Speeches – 12:15 System tour and light refreshments

Where: Denver Housing Authority – Mulroy Apartment complex, 3550 W. 13th Ave, Denver 80204

The roadmap identifies a formidable economic opportunity, which will lead to tens of thousands of good, new local jobs, billions of dollars of new economic activity, and similar additional economic impacts in reduction of health and environmental costs of displaced fossil fuels.

150 stakeholders across academia, research, industry, non-profit groups and elected officials have endorsed the vision of STAC: to make Colorado a global leader in solar thermal adoption, installation, manufacturing and R&D, to boost Colorado’s economy, generate jobs, and build a sustainable energy future. A core taskforce under the leadership of CRES & COSEIA dedicated a year to provide in-depth analysis of the opportunity, and develop implementation recommendations.

NREL established how this technology performs better in our State’s natural environment than anywhere else in the country. Solar thermal technologies address the largest energy footprint of Colorado buildings, and can also offset a significant part of our electric usage and peak demand.

Come and take part in this landmark ceremony and press release, very close to downtown Denver, organized by COSEIA, CRES and the Denver Housing Authority.

Tony Frank, Executive Director, CRES

Neal Lurie, Executive Director, COSEIA
